CAR GUYS

Hi Shotgun! Thanks for taking some time with me today.  I always think of the Real Don Steele when I hear you talk.  Glad to see you are keeping him ALIVE! ALIVE! I have been to several of Gary Bryan's events. He put me on the air when we were at Jesse James shop. Then several of his G.I. Boot Camp comedy shows.  Been to Sammy's Huntington Beach Hyatt shows, too.  Very nice lady. You each have a different style to keep the listeners interested.  Your ladies are dolls, too.  I am so jealous of your meeting Reagan. This man was the finest man that ever walked the planet. He had the respect of the entire world from the day he took office with the instant release of those hostages. He rode on the battleship Missouri, and knew it's power as a tool to enforce policies without resorting to nukes.  I have a video (1941) of him calling men to join the Army Air force. What a guy! This man put Communist Russia out of business. and saved the world, I believe. I hear he had a wicked, fun sense of humour, too.  I hope you enjoyed my website. I love cars, and have built many that people said couldn't be done.  There are also many on my facebook account,  Robert Sweeting. Check out THAT gallery.  Hope to hear from you, and would enjoy being your friend.  Bob Sweeting.

truely inspirational radio!

Tom, Mr Kelly...SIR! you are a true inspiration to watch, listen and admire and your style makes me smile and makes me want to make better radio. I have a Loiusville state police hat I'd like to wear in your honor! Don't stop doing what you're doing. We can all learn something from someone who loves radio as much as you do.

Bob and Tami Whitacre

Hey Shotgun.

I'm Ralph, you use to be our Voice Announcer here at WFLX FOX 29 in West Palm Beach, Florida. Our producer at the time, Tami Whitacre brought you on board back in the mid '80's. You met Miguel, my producer counterpart at the time at a Promax meeting in LA.

Even if you don't remember...you should remember Bob and Tami. They worked with your at a station...the only ID I can think of is Channel 69 in San Diego.

Just wanted to say hi and wanted to know if you've heard from Bob and Tami.

God Bless those pipes of yours! Listened to a few clips and you sound great.

God Bless.

Words-a-poppin circua 1976

I was a contestant in 1976 and would love to get my episode to share with my children. I still remember the prizes that I won. A digital flip clock radio, camera with flash cubes and passes to the SD Zoo. Ah, the memories...

Words-a-poppin

Wow! Glad to have found you! I was a contestant on Words-a-Poppin and I have often wondered if there is a way I could view/download/purchase the episode I was on for my family. If you have any information that would be helpful, I would really apreciate a response. I still have my nametag and photo on set with Shotgun. This would complete my collection! I watched the only episode I could find and boy did it take me back! Looking forward to your response! THANKS!!!

Words-A-Poppin

Just wanted to shout out a hello-- My dad, Phil Corvo, exec produced Words-A-Poppin.  It came up during a recent discussion of TV Game shows.  You were great on that show.

Still enjoy listening to you on the radio.

Words -A- Poppin

Glad to see your still in the media.  I was addicted to Words -A- Poppin as a kid in the 70's.

KDEO radio

Hi Tom,

Wathing you on a re-run with Fred Lewis' show. I have really enjoyed all of your work over the years! I thik it was around the same time you worked at KDEO (1950 or so?) that I won a tranistor radio for having an unusual sound-it was a duck call that the jock did not believe me So mom drove me to the studio to do a show and tell:-) Keep up the great work!! 73, Tom

Hi Tom!  I have an unusual request.  About a billion years ago there was a local dance show on KGB that featured kids from local high schools.  In my junior year I was on that show from Helix High School.  Although I no longer remember the name of the show, I DO remember that you were the host.  Do you have any way of knowing if I can see or possibly buy a copy?  Now that my grandkids out number me 4 to 1, I would LOVE to be able to show my own kids that I wasn't born looking like a Mom.  Thank you so much for you time and help.  You were my favorite DJ and I loved listening to you.  Kelly

Just a quick HI from the girls at the"Lime Jello Jiggle Office".

Hi, Shots!

Hello, Shots!  Glad to see you're still at it in sunny SoCal.  First became familiar with you while stationed in San Diego with the USN from 1975-77.  Then, saw your smiling face and signature shout on TV kids shows back in the Indianapolis market.  I think you know a buddy of mine, Buster Bodine (Michael Hanks).  He and I keep in touch via e-mail since I've resided in St. Louis since 1981.

Speaking of the LA market, I catch Jay Thomas and Magic Matt on 70s on 7 at Sirius XM from time-to-time.

Take care, and keep on cranking out those great tunes!

Hey Tony and Shotgun, great site you have here ! I remember meeting you at        Mc Donalds in Kearney Mesa and shooting the bull about Bill Moffitt's lousy time slot and radio stations not using their call letters. I recorded your last hour at "Sets" (edited). If you need acopy, let me know. Tony, didn't we work together at KCR. Believe it or not but I'm still there. Thanks guys, Joe Shrin

HI!

Hi Tom!

My name is Kris. I wanted to say hello to you because I haven't seen you sense we were in the Jr.Achievement  group at kogo in San Diego. I am thrilled that you have attained so much success. I knew you were going to thrive because you had soooo much talent. I never really got off or made my connection in the radio arena; but I  am backtracking and trying to get into doing voiceovers.

Take care and stay well,

Sunshine in the Aloha State

Aloha Shotgun.. just a quick mahalo to you for bringing some audio sunshine to Kauai.  What a way to start of our 45th class reunion then to see you broadcasting from high above the Marriott pool and Kalapaki beach.  You and Jhani got me all jacked-up about getting back in the biz even at my senior-citizen age, ha!ha!. I always have and always will tune-in to K-earth when in Los Angeles.  All the best, Ron Wood

Meeting

Tom,

It was good to meet you today at the Jack In The Box in San Clemente. Keep up the good work. I listen to K-Earth as much as I can, but sometimes the signal is not so strong in San Diego. Who knows, maybe you'll be broadcasting in San Diego again. It's nice to know that I'm not alone, making a regular drive from San Diego to LA.

Hi Shotgun,

This is probably the only chance I'll get to say hi again, we met aloooong time ago when you jockey'd at KCBQ.....I had the opportunity to work at old KDEO / Magic 91 as a DJ too...love dem oldies.

Shotgun, once I remember during a Jerry Lewis Telethon that you were doing an intro for the telethon and it started with you stating your name was Tom Kelly Schneider. Is this something you remember doing?

Miss you here in San Diego where you started Tom. Miss the Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeow you used to do. I can hear you on KRTH when I get the reception. I do hope you visit San Diego once in a while, I do believe you're a native like me (if so, what high school did you attend?).

Enough of the jabber from me, hope to hear from you. Take care and rock on!

Yours, Chris "Potsie" Gulyas

Glad to see you are

Glad to see you are still surviving and thriving even in today's radio world.  You are my ultimate radio brother.  Working together in Bakersfield before making it to the major markets and network radio.  While I was not sure about myself I knew you were a lock for the bigtime almost 40-years ago.  A true radio natural.  Rooting for you all the way everyday!!!

See you soon.

I'm glad your still alive!

Hey shotgun! Man I am soooo glad that your still alive! Like many children who are now grown up; I would like to say that your were soo great to see and hear as a child back in the late 80's and early 90's! I would love to meet you in person but unfortunatly I am stuck here in Sunny San Diego! Please come back so all the cool cats here can once again feel your coolness baby!

Happy New Years from MD

Morning Shotgun!

I like the new site.  Guess I have been busy and hadn't check out things while my wife has been in Baghdad.  But she will be home soon!!

I am continuing to spread the K-Earth vibes here on the East Coast.  When anyone comes into my office, they want to know who I am streaming.  Then I start hearing K-Earth throughout the lab.  Gotta love it.

Have a blessed New Years.  We'll be listening here in MD.  Take care.

Yo Shotgun,  My favorite

Yo Shotgun,

My favorite memories of you are from when you so expertly filled in for the infamous Uncle Ed as host of Nite Time Live for a couple of weeks back in the day. It was most likely the best two weeks of shows NTL saw during that period.

I'm hoping that my wife Linda, my lab Willy and I will be moving back to San Diego in 2009 after more than 20 years on Cape Cod.

Let's get together. Go AZTECS!

Merry Christmas Shotgun.

Re: "Shotgun" Tom - Whats up!

Mr "Shotgun",

It's been years since I seen or heard of your voice or "presence" in San Diego. I remember as a kid you were the "it" guy on KUSI-TV for the the KUSI Kids Club. Funny, when i doing random searches your name popped and checked out your page. It's been years but it's good your still in the entertainment business. When you coming back to San Diego?

Once in a while I still check out the signed picture of you and President Reagan at The Barbecue Pit in Fletcher Hills/El Cajon. Man, that takes me back.

When you get a chance, you should upload to your website your classic "bbbbbbb--ahhhhhhhhhhh" sound clip. That was funny when I was a kid.

Thanks Shotgun Tom,

Andy

No, I'm not that Rick Roberts, I'm the real one, I just saw a TV ad you did for Olhausen and I said holy sh&% that's Shotgun Tom.  It was great to see a fellow well experienced person (AKA somewhat old guy) looking good and sounding better.  I've listened to you at KCRQ and KBG in the 70's, you used to stop by the Baskin Robbins I worked at in San Diego near San Diego State.  Stay healthy and keep smiling, I liked your Reagan tribute and pictures.

I LOVE YOUR SHOW!

Wow Shotgun!  It's finally great to put a face to your name and voice!  You have such a great "voice".  Everyday I find myself in a hurry to get in my car and turn you on! (so to speak). lol If you're up to it, one day we should chat about the old KHJ days and The Real Don Steele! (In case you don't remember, I'm one of the "Real Don Steelers' dancers"). I hope to hear back from you one of these days.  Keep doing what you're doing... You're an Icon in my book!
